Oh for sure, Github has been treating the FOSS community like dirt and it’s getting worse. I’ve already taken a look at Codeberg, and I don’t think there’s much stopping us moving over. The CI setup may take a little bit of work, but it’s just finding the time to do it at this point. I’d likely still keep a mirror of the project on Github for discoverability, but I’d be happy to move the main development, issue tracking, artefact hosting, etc. elsewhere.
another reason to stop using Github / copilot - they are defaulting to users opting-in for them to use our data/interactions to improve their commercial model …
the motivation to move to CodeBerg or similar continues …
